MATEC 30|40PP - Gantry machines, which touch engineers' hearts

Excellent large part production

The gantry machines MATEC 30PP|MATEC 40PP fulfill highest quality
demands. The well-dimensioned gantry construction warrants minor
deformation of the machine and therefore highest contour constancy
and surface quality of the work part. The gantry construction guarantees
good accessibility from all sides if space is limited.

The application of either a swivel head (± 95°) or a 2-axis CNC motor
spindle milling head permits multilateral machining. The pallet changer
functions as a machine table and moves in the X-axis.

  • Performance Class 30PP|40PP: SK40|50 | HSK-A 63|100
  • X-Axis = 3,000|4,000 mm
  • Y-Axis = 3,200 mm
  • Z-Axis = 1,300|1,500|1,800 mm
  • Speed Range: 9,000-42,000|8,000-15,000 rpm
  • Drive Power Motor Spindle: max. 30|69 kW
  • Torque max. 30|360 Nm
  • Table dimension 2,000x2,000|3,000x2,000
  • Optional: pallet changer

  • Stagnant gantry and moving table. Advantage: Highest rigidity of the gantryl
due to direct anchoring in the foundation. This means a significant increase in
precision, surface quality on the workpiece and significantly longer tool life.
  • The machine table dynamics can be determined by automatic determination
of the workpiece weight load-dependent up to the max. allowable weight to
be adjusted. LAC (Load Adaptive Control)
  • In short X-axis, the installation area is not significantly greater than in
    stationary table
  • The dynamic 2-axis fork head ensures strong construction at maximum feed
force and at the same time guarantees the expected surface qualities on the
workpiece. Both heads have direct measuring systems and selectable clamping.
  • A special feature of all MATEC gantry machines is the enormous rigidity of the
individual axes. Specifically, the design and stability of the Y and Z axis are
essential for precision and surface quality on the workpiece. The special
dimensioning of the gantry beam prevents the gantry beam torsion that other-
wise occurs on comparable gantry machines when the Z-axis is fully extended.
The Z-axis is designed as a carriage.
  • Due to the constant distance between carriage guide and spindle nose in
  • contrast to the RAM construction, there is no movement-dependent
deformations of the Z axis. This construction is the guarantor of aligned bores
and free milling surfaces on the workpiece.
  • Traveling tool magazines in the X-axis enable short tool changing times.
